As a leader of YNA for the last (almost) two years, using a pseudonym has never caused any issues for me or Jordan, other than some minor confusion at times. The only time there has been an issue is when others disrespect me and my privacy and try to hurt me by publicly sharing my name / personal information.
"That experience brought the confidence that I never thought I had. I overcame a fear of being the center of attention by diving head first and doing what most people would not. I also gained a love for being nude. After that day, I did not continue nude figure modeling. However, I did become a freelance model and have done many artistic nude photo shoots. I still have no regrets for getting nude that day or any day afterward. That day made me proud of my body."
“It is Mr. Mumpower and the other opposing conservatives who are trying to turn our event into something blatantly sexual when it’s not,” Gary said. “This is exactly the point we’re trying to make by having the demonstration. Women are currently forced to hide their breasts because men like Mr. Mumpower can’t look at them without thinking of something sexual. Well, we’re sorry, Mr. Mumpower, but we won’t hide our breasts because of your sexual hang ups.”
"Our best translation: regular cleave is fine, but anything south of the nips is not. Side boob is ambiguous. It also seems that if you just wanna show off your lady parts in a bra, fig leaves, or pasties you might not be covered enough for Missouri."
"Even if this is a girl, the description of the video ("St Louis mom disrobes her child," "Strips & Exposes Daughter") and the fact that this thing has been viewed almost 24,000 times is the creepiest part. Apparently jackohoft was so concerned with covering up the kid’s shame that he … filmed him/her and put it on the internet? Blegh."
"Actors and filmmakers will spin nakedness as part of the quest for a greater cinematic truth, while never acknowledging the fact that, for a certain segment of the audience, nudity is a draw, a marketable commodity."
There is strength in numbers and Johnston’s cause, if not her breasts, will soon be getting much needed support on August 26, which will mark the fifth annual Go Topless Day, a yearly event where women in 22 cities around the world are encouraged to remove their tops in the name of justice while men are encouraged to protest the hypocrisy by wearing bras or bikini tops.
Yeah, there really is nothing remarkable about it, or shouldn’t be. But these days it seems that all too often a summer camp might have an uber-cautious “no bare feet” rule and you’d see them in aquasox instead.
Body image is an area that prompted a lot of spontaneous criticism, particularly for teenagers. Fifty-six per cent of 14-to-16 year old girls said advertising made them feel insecure about their appearance.
But many people – including the New York Police Department – seem to have forgotten Ms. Johnston has this right. She was arrested in May (though not charged). In a video interview, Ms. Johnston said she was detained (in handcuffs and all) and forcibly had her shirt put over her because people complained that she was topless near a children’s playground.
“[The officer] said it could be considered endangering the children,” she said.
A family-friendly atmosphere abounds at World Naked Bike Races. The nude bike rides are designed to foster a “non-sexualized nudist environment, according to the bike race website. The naked bike riding events have drawn both cheers and jeers from the media due to the number of children riding bicycles or watching from the sidelines, The Blaze reports.
“The idea that somehow children are negatively affected by non-sexualized nudity is a myth. Children are more likely to be curious if nudity was discouraged in their family. The only thing prudish parents have to worry about is that their children might want to get naked themselves if it looks like people are having fun. As children grow older they are more likely to resent repressive parents if they think they lack common sensibilities.” – posting on the World Naked Bike Race website.
Now in its fifth year, hundreds of participants joined in the 10 mile ride through St. Louis’ busiest business districts. The ride was a protest against oil dependency and to promote alternative forms of transportation, as well as cyclists’ rights.
Riders are encouraged to go “as bare as they dare.” World Naked Bike Rides are scheduled in 70 cities in 20 countries.
The pic of the statuesque brunette in her birthday suit is going into storage. The consensus at the pub on Sunday was that the nude photo belonged to a bygone era and was a turn-off to potential female customers.
